A new Swiss chapter of Map4Rec begins in Aarau, in the canton of Aargau! Supported by a Citizen Science Zurich Seed Grant, Map4Rec.CH — Connecting Displaced Children with Urban Nature will engage refugee children aged 10–14 in exploring and mapping local green spaces.
The project brings together the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich, Catta and the St.Gallen University of Teacher Education. Through creative workshops and outdoor activities, children will investigate urban nature and share what matters to them about the places around them.
We wish the team and the children plenty of adventures and discoveries outdoors, and look forward to seeing their favourite Swiss places on the Map4Rec map!
